Update after second opinion in Jackson
Friends of Adam-
I am getting updates from Guy Parker, Sr, who is a close friend of Adam's folks. Below you will find a cut and paste of an e-mail that Mr. Parker sent me today.

Today Adam, along with Joyce and Tad, traveled to Jackson to see Ralph Vance, MD for a second opinion. The diagnosis is the same, and Dr. Vance stated that the doctors in Birmingham had practiced "great medicine." He will be prescribing the treatment plan, which changes some of the chemo-meds, and should have less side effects; and his verbalization of the prognosis is more optimistic, particularly regarding "time" remaining. . .Bottom line is that Hope is a strong part of his message to the family, and he encouraged Adam to carry on and live as normal a life as possible. The plan at this time is to establish a relationship between Dr. Vance and a colleague at the university medical center in Birmingham so Adam can have treatments here or there. The site for follow-up scans, etc. has not been firmly decided, but most likely will be at the UMC Cancer Institute under the watch of Dr. Vance. Adam will be in Jackson for several days for additional tests, and I presume the beginning of the treatment plan. More as we hear. . .

I have told Mr. Parker about the blog and he has asked me to be a conduit to the folks using this blog for updates on Adam.
I know we will all continue to pray for Adam - all the Trowbridges.
