My Brother

Thanks to everyone for their continued thoughts and prayers for the Trowbridges. Dan Jordan and I had the chance to visit with Adam yesterday (Sunday, Jan. 7). He's not doing very well physically, but he's still all there mentally and spiritually. The doctors decided to leave a port in his chest to continually drain his left lung. In addition, last week, Adam suffered a small stroke, so he's having a very difficult time talking and communicating. This is extremely frustrating to him, as he knows you're there and is trying to tell you how he's doing, but it takes a while for him to speak. This, combined with the pain medication, causes obvious frustration. He's also having a hard time eating and is sleeping a lot. The family is really, really exhausted. Since Adam can barely get around, it takes two people to help move him and again, this causes frustration and anxiety. The patience and stamina of this family is more than inspirational. They really need our prayers for peace, support and deliverance during this time. In fact, it is extremely frustrating to not be able to do more than watch and ache for their pain and suffering. The ONLY THING we can do for them right now is to offer our prayers that the Lord will be with them and provide them with strength, love and peace. Adam understands how dire the situation is. He also realizes that we are still praying for him and his family, and the entire family is appreciative. I know this has been a long battle, but now is a time that we need to really focus our prayers that God would take care of our brother, Adam. It is in God's hands. We'll keep you updated.

Peace,

McCracken (and JMW)

Dearest Adam,
I was so thankful to read an update from your friends although I hated to hear about the stroke. I wish you patience for yourself as you struggle to communicate with people. It must appear that your body is failing you as your mind is alert and ready for company! My heart aches for you and your loving family. I continue to pray for God's loving arms to hold you right now as he has through this whole ordeal. I also ask for grace to carry your beloved family through these days. How lucky you all are to have one other! God speed to you my friend and know that I think of you often and send positive thoughts to you and your family daily. Sincerly, Lori Jack
