weekend visit
I met Dan Jordan,Robert Jackson, and John Rolfe saturday in B-ham. Jimmy Crocker was there as well. we spent about 4 hours sat. night and 2-3hrs on sunday with Adam. Rickman came on sunday and is staying the night. Room 581 was by far the loudest room in the joint, we told lots of stories and LAUGHED ALOT. Adam knows what he is facing and and we need to do all we can to keep his spirits lifted. Visiting him over the next few months will be important. I plan to get back down there in April. So, how is he doing? better than I thought he'd be - he may get to go home monday. but the chemo will be as intense as they can make it because it is "a very agressive type of cancer". somebody mentioned triple the normal dose...not sure when they will start, depends on when he recovers from last weeks surgery. Lee Harrington will be there wednesday, Giddens may be there wed. or thurs.

Just wanted to say how great it was to visit with Adam this past weekend and catch up with Dan Jordan, Robert Jackson, Bill Robertson, Crocker and Rickman. Adam's mother said it was the best Adam had been in a while when we were sharing photos and old stories. We laughed alot and it helped take his mind off of the situation. If any of you can make it to B'ham to see him, I know he and his family would love it. It is likewise great catching up with all of you guys that meant (and continue to mean) so much to me. This blog thing is a great idea and I hope we continue to keep in touch as we continue on this journey with Adam. I will forward this address to other friends who know Adam and keep this prayer chain active. Take care to all of you and I hope to see you soon.
